Kyle Pitts’ Pro Day was ridiculous

Tuesday was Justin Fields day. Wednesday belongs to Kyle Pitts.

The Florida tight end prospect created quite the buzz across the NFL world during his pro day, most of it coming without even catching a ball.

Pitts measured in with a 83 3/8-inch wingspan, the largest in 20 years for a tight end. It was already well-known that the 6-foot-6 stud could snag balls out of the air better than anyone, but the official measurements are sure to make teams drool even more.

Then, Pitts ran the 40-yard dash in a blazing 4.44 seconds. All times are unofficial since the NFL isn’t doing a combine, but the 20-year-old showed off ridiculous speed in front of a number of NFL scouts.

He also recorded an 11-foot broad jump and a 41-inch vertical leap.

Pitts is expected to go in the top 10 of the 2021 NFL Draft, and is considered by many to be the best tight end prospect to come out of the draft in several years. He could even be the first pass-catcher off the board in April.
